Want your voice to be heard?

Minnesota is home to House GOP Majority Whip Tom Emmer, and there’s an important town hall coming up in his district on February 26. AFGE members and all federal employees should attend and make their voices heard. This is a key opportunity to push back against attacks on our jobs, pay, retirement, and workplace rights. If you’re in the area, show up and remind him that federal workers serve their communities and deserve fair treatment.

Rep. Emmer has been invited to a Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, February 26. If Rep. Emmer can't/won't attend, all questions and concerns will be forwarded to him with the expectation that all will be addressed within one week.

Unfortunately, Tom Emmer's didn't avail himself to requests for a Town Hall meeting with constituents. The meeting on the 26th is still a go. We've asked him to join us via Zoom, but so far we've not heard from him. In any case, all concerns will be aired at the meeting. If he's a no show, the questions will be given to him with the expectation that he answer them! If he doesn't satisfy that request, we move onto the next step.

6:30-7:00 Check in and submit your questions/concerns

7:00-8:00 Q/A with or without Rep. Emmer

8:00-8:30 Wind down and mingle

Rep. Emmer needs to hear from his constituents. Please plan to attend and invite your CD6 friends and family!

We will have a donation box to help defray the $200 charge for the venue.
